Azonic Review

O’Neal USA is a California-based company that has been selling Azonic products since 1989. The philosophy of Azonic is defined as “knowing no boundaries or limits� and going “beyond all limits.� Azonic is dedicated to providing the best and strongest equipment for cycling professionals. Although Azonic products were once thought of as too bulky and overly engineered, their standard established has become the standard of other companies. The company produces helmets, jerseys, shorts, protective gear, bike frames, and a host of other bike parts (e.g., rims, pedals, grips, etc.) and other small parts (e.g., seat clamp, chain ring, chain tensioner, etc.). There are twelve helmets and most of them come with elaborate designs on them. There are four jerseys (three short-sleeves and one long-sleeve) that range in size from S-XXL. There are four types of shorts: three Venoms and one Generator. They come with zippered pockets, seamless crotches, and range in size from 28-38. The protective gear produced by Azonic includes three types of knee pads, one set of shin pads, and one set of elbow pads. Sizes range from S-XL. The knee pad that offers the most protection is the Trail knee pad. It is easily removable once a race is done, has high impact plastics, and covers the knee and part of the shin. The biking community is pleased with Azonic products because of their toughness of the protective gear, the comfort of the jerseys, and the construction, durability, and ease of wear for the shorts. Some are unhappy with the protective knee pads not staying in place and the pants always getting in the way.

Azonic prices are moderately priced when compared to other biking and cycling companies. At the Azonic official website, helmets range in price from $29.99 to $249.99. Jerseys range in price from $39.99 to $49.99. Shorts (including one pair for women for $39.95) range from $39.95 to $89.99 (Venom shorts). Knee pads range in price from $49.99 (Trail knee pad and shinguard) to $89.99 (Sinner knee guard with lots of designs on it). Bike frames range from $379 to $1,699.
