Alternaitve Needs Transportation ReviewAlternative Needs Transportation exists to serve its customers with quality biking products. Situated in Holliston, MA, Alternative Needs Transportation, or A.N.T., builds custom-made bicycles for customers. A.N.T. produces quality bicycles with the right blend of functionality and performance to suit each individual customer’s needs. Mike Flanigan and Betsy Eckel Scola own and operate the business. Mike has been in the bike building business since 1989 and, with 21 years of bike building experience, he can design and build bicycles to match the customer’s demands. Betsy works with the company as webmaster and provides the manpower for the marketing side of the company. The company is all about promoting the bicycle as a means of transportation. While they do sell and service other types of bicycles, the commuting bicycle is their real passion. At A.N.T., providing the customer with a bike that has a personality as well as the exact functionality to meet the customer’s needs is top priority. Mike’s experience in the bike building industry goes back a long ways. Beginning in Texas as a youngster, Mike gained experience working for several bike-building companies such as Fat City Cycles and Independent Fabrications. Eventually, Mike decided to start his own bike building shop and opened Alternative Needs Transportation in 2001. He then began the process of working his way out of Independent Fabrications to take up his new business venture. Mike builds bike in all varieties from touring bikes to cargo bikes and road bikes. Each bicycle is designed and customized for the individual customer and Mike works hard to satisfy each customer who comes his way. Convincing the average person to take up biking as their means of commuting is a big part of what Mike and Betsy do and they exist to provide for their converts with the bicycles they need. ÂModels
