Alexrims is a division of Alex Global Technology. The company was founded in 1992 in Taiwan. From the beginning the company was focused on rims, and that focus has continued to present day. However, the company has begun to expand its offerings to include car and truck rims as well. The new enterprises are designed to improve the company overall and to enhance competitiveness and extend their international influence. The company has won numerous national and industry awards. Alex Rims offers a variety of rim styles including road, MTB, downhill, cross or trekking, BMX, specialty rims, and single wall rims. Road rims are ideal for cyclists who need a disc rim for paved surfaces. MTB rims are suited well for riders that want disc rims for mountain terrain. Cross rims are specifically for rougher terrain, and are stronger than rims ins most of the other lines. BMX rims are alloy and perfectly suited for the rough BMX race tracks. Some of the specialty rims include those designed for folding bicycles, cruisers, and rims for children.

BMX rims from Alex are especially popular with those who prefer mountain biking. While they do offer rims for almost every conceivable type of cycling, they are one of the top three companies in the BMX field. Reviews for the other types of rims are less enthusiastic.
