Aheadset is a product line created by Cane Creak Cycling Components. The company is located in Fletcher, North Carolina and was founded in 1991. One of the first products Cane Creek released was the Aheadset line. The company claims that the Aheadset line was the first threadless headset in the industry. It was developed by John Radar and was important to the cycling industry because it made bikes safer and more adaptable. New technologies grew as a result such as improved suspension forks. The line meets all of the requirements for interchangeability and performance as other Cane Creek products. The headsets found in the Aheadset system can be configured into more than ten configurations, making them quite adaptable. They are built with sealed cartridge bearings, light aluminum materials, and a wide range of fitment options.

Cane Creek offers six different models in their Aheadset line. The two options in the TR series are both threadless, the two options in the TD series are both threaded, the IS is integrated, and the ZS is threadless. The warranty for all Aheadset products is one year from the date of original purchase and applies only to the original owner. The warranty covers any defect in workmanship or materials but does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, alteration, or neglect. There are numerous authorized distributors across the country and online, and the entire line can also be purchased at the official website. The overall consensus in the cycling community is that the product quality is relative to the price. For those who want an inexpensive component it is ideal. For those who want something that will last a bit longer, other options may be preferable. However, the it should also be noted that most customers have rated Cane Creek as having excellent customer service when there is a problem with the product.
