Adidas ReviewThe Adidas company, first known as Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory, was originally founded in Bavaria in 1924 by Adolf Dassler, also known as Adi, and his brother Rudolf. Adi drove samples of the shoes to the 1936 Olympic games in Germany where he persuaded Jesse Owens to use them in the Olympic games. Owens proceeded to win four gold medals and the company became well known and respected among sportsmen. The brothers split in the late 1940s and Adi formally created the Adidas company while his brother went on to form the company that would later be renamed Puma. The current headquarters for Adidas are located in Herzogenaurach, Germany and the CEO is now Herbert Heiner. While perhaps most famous for their shoe line, they also have a number of other clothing lines that include bags, watches, shorts, shirts, jackets, watches, and other articles of clothing. The company creates their products around the needs of athletes in specific sports such as running or cycling. They are the second largest sportswear manufacturer in the world, and the largest located in Europe. Adidas remains one of the most popular sportswear companies for both amateur and professional sportsmen and women across numerous types of sports. While their cycling gear can be a little more difficult to find, it is widely available from specialty cycling shops and websites both in the United States and throughout Europe. However, the official Adidas website for the United States now only has five products specifically for cyclists. These are limited to shirts, a pair of shorts, and a jacket for women. For those interested in purchasing oversees there is a bit more of a selection to be found on the Adidas website for Europe, the United Kingdom, and several other specific countries. Models
Pricingex: Adidas is considered moderately expensive. Products range in price from about $20 to more than $200 in the United States depending on what type of product is being purchased and from where. Further pricing information can be found on the Adidas home pages for the country one is specifically interested in, specialty bike shops or websites, or from official Adidas stores located around the country.
