Haro BMX Bikes Review

Haro BMX Bikes, or Haro BMX, was founded in the late 1970s by Robert Haro. The company is an American based BMX manufacturer. Robert first started out with the company Haro Designs in the 1980s. Creating plates out of the bedroom, the BMX boom meant additional demand that Robert was not going to let pass him by. With a passion for BMX, Haro BMX Bikes were soon developed.

Robert Haro is often referred to as the father of freestyle BMX. He would travel all over the United States and hold small shows where he could perform BMX tricks or freestyle for small crowds. By the early 1980s, Haro BMX Bikes was booming because the once cult sport was breaking out of its shell and the masses were turning to BMX as the next big sport.

At first, Haro BMX Bikes created two major designs – the Master and Sport. Today, there are a few more designs to choose from. These new designs also offer a bit more technology, strength and resilience compared to the first models.Their website also offers various parts such as cranks, stems, bars, forks, and grips to name a few.

Haro BMX Bikes tends to focus on racing, park, freestyle and street. There are models from 2003 to 2010 that fall into each of these categories. While models of Haro BMX Bikes tend to stay generally the same from year to year, 2010 offers an interesting look into size options.

Haro BMX Bikes offers a 24” BMX for adults or kids who cannot ride the shorter 20” wheel base. The 24” wheels allow taller riders to work the Haro BMX Bikes like their shorter counterparts with ease. In addition to taller models, Haro BMX Bikes has also released a Mini and Junior line. These bikes are created with the exact specifications of traditional Haro BMX Bikes just on a smaller scale with a smaller price tag.

Most Haro BMX Bikes tend to fall between $250 US and $600 US for a complete bike. Custom designs or professional Haro BMX Bikes may be priced a bit higher.
