About FSA Handlebars

Handlebars are designed for specific types of riding. Mountain bikes have straight (flat or riser) bars that are ideal for maintaining control of the MTB. Flat handlebars put the rider in an upright position, which allows him to put his weight further back, which is crucial during downwhill rides. Race bikes, on the other hand, have the “drop” handlebars. The downward curve of this particular type of handlebar allows a prone position, which gives an aerodynamic advantage.
 
Bike manufacturer FSA has series of handlebars which are part of FSA Steering Components. One model is the FSA K-Force Flat Bar. This handlebar is getting favorable reviews from many mountain bikers. Its ultra-light (only 126g) carbon-and-Kevlar construction offers a light yet sturdy steering control that can take the brunt of bad terrain bumps and vibe, thanks to its 3k carbon weave finish. For added strength, the brake levers area, the stem clamp zone and the bar end slots are reinforced. Its 6-degree backsweep offers a more comfortable upright riding. The handlebars are secured by FSA Stems, which are held in place by FSA Headsets.
 
For racers, there’s the FSA K-Force Compact. According to reviews, its drop design, dubbed the “Compact”, offers excellent reach and comfort. Made of the same 3k Carbon and Kevlar composite, it is strong but light, which in racing world, means faster speed. The bar has a 120mm center section for accessories.
