DT Swiss is a bike manufacturing company based in Switzerland. This company was born when three people, Marco Zingg, Maurizio D’Alberto, and Frank Böckmann had an innovative idea to start a business to manufacture bike parts. DT Swiss started its business in the year 1994 and they started off with about just about 28 employees and their manufacturing just one product. The product that was in production in the year 1994 was the bike spokes. They still manufacture bike rims and bike spokes; however, the company has grown a lot and the manufacture many more parts today.
 
The company grew in size when it started business in the US. During this time, there 1996, the company grew rapidly when it opened business in Grand Junction, Colorado. According to sources, soon after dollars the company started marketing its products with a brand-new product. Sources say that DT Swiss realised that there was great scope in the US and in Switzerland as well and that's when they started manufacturing other products like hubs and nipples.
 
In the year 2001, DT Swiss started manufacturing the new range of products which included air shocks, rims, bike wheels and bike wheelset and other products. In the year 2005, the company opened another store in Taiwan. This was not just a store but also a production facility. From Taiwan DT Swiss exported goods to all the Asian countries. The company progressed and went on to include apparel its product and as well. Now, DT Swiss offers apparel and clothing in their line of products.
