Boulder Prepares to Open New Bike Park

Boulder’s Valmont Bike Park has been under construction since October 2009, but city officials have scheduled the opening day for June 11. The 40-acre facility will benefit locals as well as riders from around the world. Occupying a section of the 132-acre Valmont City Park, the bike park will feature a variety of biking terrain, from cyclocross trails to a section for kids on tricycles. There will also be a large network of single-track trails. As the final touches come into place, many biking enthusiasts in the region anticipate the park’s opening this summer.
