A handlebar wrap or handlebar tape is a very popular bicycle accessory nowadays, according to reviews. In lieu of the traditional grips, many riders are preferring to use a bar tape. Hence, manufacturers mix cork with other materials in order to come out with a material that easily wraps, or they use alternative materials that feel cork-ish. So “cork bar tape” is just a term for bar tapes that has the feel of a cork. However, cork is commonly found in bar end plugs. To add the illusion of cork, many cork bar tape are colored tan or light brown because of the shellac used on it.

It is the leading choice among bikers for many years. Natural cork is fused with other materials to give the rider excellent grip, cushion and support, as well as sweat absorption and shock diffusion. It is available in assortment of colors.
